Jill is a Sociologist and Human Development Practitioner. She holds a Bachelor of Social Science in Sociology and Gender Studies and an MPhil in Development Studies from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Jill recently submitted her PhD in Sociology, which examined key factors contributing to sustained father involvement among unmarried fathers in South Africa.

She has served as a Mentorship Programme Coordinator, Tutor Coordinator, Curriculum Advisor, Researcher and Teaching Assistant among many other vital roles at the University of Cape Town.
